This is a Cinderella Poem, shedding a different light on the fairy tale ending, she may or may not have wanted.
Cinderella Says Thanks But No Thanks
Cinderella was frightfully grateful she got her shoe back seeing as getting around in one heel was a tad awkward. How the prince could have thought that she’d simply melt into his arms was beyond her. Needless to say, she had been polite and said, thanks, but no thanks, but she didn’t like his expectations. What the heck, no point in thinking about that now, there were rakes of other balls to crash.

You know, I think you should develop that into a full-blown story. It was THAT GOOD! It was a new idea, way of thinking, for me and very creative. I found myself wanting to read more!

The poem actually transported me back to my childhoold. It’s nice to read and re-imagine it to an alternate ending and be inside Cinderella’s head. Nice poem!
Thanks, Jam!
Haha I had never even given it a second thought. Kind of fun to think about changing the ending
Thanks, Chloe!
Haha, I love this. Definitely a much better version than the original!
Yes, indeed. Enough of that subservient stuff!
It’s long since I read the story but I love and remember the cinderella Shoes.
Thanks, Joyce!
Loved the poem. Short and sweet. And with such a meaningful message. So nice.
Wow… ? i loved this so much! I would like to see more of such real life based happenings ?
Great poem and narrative. I have come to love Cinderella poems by force due to my wife’s love for it.
Thank you for sharing.
Way to go Cinderella! Now, this is a fairy tale heroine I can support 🙂
Yes, I was thinking we should rewrite the endings of all fairytales!
hahah! I like this kind of story development a lot more! I think it’s a lot better story for women
Interesting twist to the end. Cinderella has always been a favorite!
Oh a plot twist! I like it! I’m always drawn to variations of stories that I’ve loved as a kid, and even now. Variations with a twist make it really fun, especially when I am expecting it to go in the traditional direction.
Thanks, Erica. Yes, I think it’s time to rethink some of the traditional happy endings and create new ones!
Ah! This would such a funny and unexpected twist on the original. I like it!

Love this! Just because they danced at the ball doesn’t mean they fell in love!
I agree we need to reimagine all the fairytales!
Love this rendition of the cinderella story, great poem!
