When the Heart is Without Fear is a fear poem, a reflection on how fear creates distance, suspicion, and judgement. A fearless heart is different.
When the Heart Is Without Fear – Fear Poem
When a heart is without fear,
it draws near
not what is dear
but chases mere
hints of a knotting,
a tying of strings
a blending of roots.
A heart without fear
is a mouth inhaling
our legs prevailing
furthest from bailing
on a chance of rain
on the moon or in Spain.
A heart without fear
takes on gravel
never wielding a gavel
willing and wanting to travel
and unravel
until
until, we are
near and dear
and free of fear.
