Following Through

To get to where you need to go, you have to go to the very end of the road. This is a poem about life and following through.

You need to go to the very, very end of the road, even if you’re scared there’s no light there.

Just like roots reach deep down into the earth

Ploughing through mud

Squeezing past rocks

Tired, yet compelled to follow through

Emerging in perfect form

Strengthening at each turn

Worms softening the soil

With a smile and a sorrow

But the roots drive on through

Unitl they reach the very depth of the

Earth’s soul

Driven by the light of the sun

And the gentle power of water

Suddenly, as expected

The flower blooms
