Oxygen – Don’t Hold Your Breath

Don’t hold your breath, you may be stopping life’s unstoppable wish to see you through.

So much more than an elusive bubble, instead, sustaining and holding together the whole world.

And places, oxygen cannot reach, speak of pain and hardness, lifelessness, and death.

Only to be broken and softened by an irresistible bubble of air

Perhaps a word or a touch

Unexpected, yet ever so groundbreaking.

And walls tumble and give way to the river of air

Gorgeous and glorious

If only I could learn not to hold my breath.

The oxygen would then carry and hold me

Ever so gently.
