Poem About Support – I Wish I Had a Leprechaun

I Wish I Had a Leprechaun is a poem about support, a reflection on how everyone needs help, and no one needs to cope alone.

I Wish I Had a Leprechaun

 I wish I had a leprechaun
who'd trick me and make me laugh.
With bright red hair and little green pants
'd do things on my behalf.

I wish I had a leprechaun
who'd tickle my toes and stroke my head.
With cute little feet and nimble legs
'd do things that make me dead.

I wish I had a leprechaun
who'd pay my bills and wash my pans.
With bags of tricks and pots of gold
'd do things beyond my hands.

I wish I had a leprechaun
who'd cast a spell and call the sun.
With wizardry and fairy dust
'd do things I haven't done.
