poem about surrender - Lay Down

Lay Down is a poem about surrender, a reflection on love‘s irresistibility, on how love’s sweetness sweeps you off your feet.

Lay Down – Poem About Surrender

If I lay me
beside you
in the evening,
come morning,

If I lay my hand

If I lay my eyes
into yours
right now,

my eyes will not wish to gaze upon different stars.

If I lay my heart
into yours
as you lay yours
into mine,
our hearts will not wish to stir.
