The world is full of love
Go harvest the apples, tend to the trees,
learn how to mend a fence and jump over walls.
Polish your gold goblets and sing with the thrush at dawn.
Don’t take an axe to the ice, the very tips of your fingers will do.
And when the rain falls on your face, open your mouth and drink.
Know that the wind dries the clothes on your line
and potatoes are bulking in the dewy soil.
Any spare bread, bring to the square
or make crumbs for the bluetits and sparrows.
Make sure you always have tissues and teabags.
Wear your heart and your smile,
there will be a knock on your door.
The world is full of Love

See All Poetry for a message I just sent you. Its just the Poetry Cooperative website that is jammed and that little circle in the upper left corner just keeps spinning, blocking all access to content. I got into this one OK just now at 11:25 PM . I wanted to instant message you about a cute idea I had for your summer issue.
Blessings of love and light on you and yours-
Fenna
This is such a nice, sane poem, and a very accessible read. It evokes hope, and invites one to be grateful for all the simple gifts given to us and that are around us every day most of the time if we only have the eyes to see them and appreciate them. A perfect poem to read at the start of a NY work week.
